The Twenty-Third Meeting of the Tax Commission Thursday, January 17, 2002 The twenty-third meeting of the Government Tax Commission was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the meeting, explanations were provided by the Ministry of Finance concerning the Outline of the FY2002 Tax System Reform decided upon today by the Cabinet, and by the Ministry of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications concerning the Draft Outline of the FY2002 Local Tax System Reform. After the remarks by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, discussions took place among the members regarding the form of a desirable tax system.
