Submissions of Report for FY 2002 Tax System Reform Friday, December 14, 2001 At the Prime Minister's Official Residence, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi was handed a Report for FY2002 Tax System Reform from Chairman Hiromitsu Ishi of the Government Tax Commission. This Report was drafted with a view to contribute to structural reform of Japan's economy and industry and includes issues such as the creation of a consolidated tax system, the rationalization of special tax measures and modalities for the financial and securities tax system as part of the structural reform of the securities markets and the financial system.
