Meeting Between the Government and the Japanese Trade Union Confederation Tuesday, November 27, 2001 A meeting between the Government and the Japanese Trade Union Confederation@(Rengo) was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the start of the meeting, President of Rengo Kiyoshi Sasamori handed Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi a written request concerning, among other things, issues related to budget formulation such as a swift decision and implementation of a second Supplementary Budget and a strengthening of employment measures. The two sides then entered into an exchange of views. Prime Minister Koizumi explained that in addition to making efforts to swiftly implement the Supplementary Budget that was recently formulated, which has a particularly emphasis on employment measures, a *Extraordinary Draft Bill for Employment Measures is currently being deliberated.
