Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi attended the "Town Meeting" held at the Tokyo International Forum.

"Town Meetings - Koizumi Cabinet Dialogue with the Public" have been held in every prefecture in Japan with the aim of giving rise to a new society and leading to the creation of a new future for Japan through proactive dialogue with the public, with the cooperation and support of the people. Over the last six months, the meetings have been held with the relevant members of the Cabinet in attendance. The meeting in Tokyo brought the current series of meetings to an end.

In addition to Prime Minister Koizumi, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Chikara Sakaguchi, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Atsuko Toyama and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy Heizo Takenaka also attended the meeting and exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues, including reform of special public corporations.
