The Eighth Meeting of the Commission on Reform of the Honors System

The Eighth Meeting of the Commission on Reform of the Honors System was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.
At the meeting the Final Report of the Commission was adopted and Dr. Hiroyuki Yoshikawa, Chairman of the Commission, presented the Report to Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi.
Further considerations will be advanced based on this report, with a view to taking appropriate measures to ensure that the honors system of Japan is formulated in such a manner that encourages the people of Japan and contributes to the formation of a dynamic society during the 21st century.
