This Conference was established within the Cabinet Office under the Law on Special Measure Concerning Promotion of the Development of Nuclear Power Sited Regions. At this Conference the participants discussed the designation of regions with nuclear energy and other related facilities located in Fukui and Shimane Prefectures.

Through future Conferences it is expected that a draft plan will be drawn up on integrated economic promotion of the regions which will be specified by these prefectures.
