The third meeting of the Urban Renaissance Headquarters was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the meeting, three decisions were made on: (1) Urgent measures to promote investments from the private sector to urban developments; (2) The Urban Renaissance Project (the second decision); and (3) The priority fields to be undertaken for urban rejuvenation. At the closing of the meeting, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi stated, "Today, we made some important decisions regarding urban rejuvenation. I ask all related Ministers to positively bring forward their ideas, to determine budget priorities and take prioritized measures, based on the decisions made today by the Headquarters." |
