Prime Minister Naoto Kan attended the seventh meeting of the Task Force Team for a Society Inclusive of Individuals held at the Prime Minister's Office.

Discussion took place on urgent policy proposals concerning social inclusion of individuals.

Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said, "First of all, I thank you for the efforts in compiling urgent policy proposals today, in which three pillars of social inclusion were decided.
The first pillar is the survey of the actual risk of social exclusion, which is the exact opposite of social inclusion. Although quite basic, it is extremely important that we identify what is really important through a formal survey.
The second pillar is what we call 'pioneer projects.' An example of this is providing seamless support to persons in need such as those who dropped out of high school. Without someone to extend a helping hand, someone to consult with, anyone may end up with their course of life skewed in a wrong direction. In light of this, we will be implementing pioneering projects including the expansion of personal support.
The third pillar is a one-stop consultation service, in other words a 'call center', to listen to the inquiries and extend personal advice by phone.
To those involved, I ask for your further efforts to ensure that these projects are steadfastly implemented in a substantial manner."
