Prime Minister Naoto Kan held the fourth Final Draft Preparation Meeting of the Headquarters of the Government and Ruling Parties for Social Security Reform at the Diet building.
Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said, "Although the discussion is heading toward consensus, I see that there are remaining points to be addressed.
Following this meeting, after going through final adjustments, we will be holding a meeting of the Headquarters of the Government and Ruling Parties [for Social Security Reform] on June 20 as planned, and decide on the final draft for the comprehensive reform of social security and taxation systems."
