Prime Minister Naoto Kan held the 15th meeting of the Nuclear Emergency Response Headquarters at the Prime Minister's Office.

Decisions were made on the policies for immediate responses for those affected by the nuclear incident, and other matters.

Based on the discussion, the Prime Minister said, "Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) presented a roadmap a month ago for the conclusion of the nuclear incident. Today, that roadmap was revised, and in line with the revisions, I have had a separate roadmap formulated concerning the course of action for the Government.
Concerning assistance for those affected by the nuclear incident, those who have been living away from home for more than two months already are truly exhausted both physically and mentally. I have talked with many such people. They have been facing extremely difficult circumstances, burdened with concerns regarding their living conditions in evacuation centers, temporary housing, employment, education for children, new requests for continued evacuation, and the treatment of livestock. I would like all ministries and agencies to work as one to support their daily lives and employment in a well-coordinated manner.
The Government will thoroughly and persistently meet its responsibility to the people by responding to the needs of those affected by this incident. We will make this clear to the public. I would like for this to be a decision of this meeting."
