Prime Minister Naoto Kan received requests at the Prime Minister's Office from Mr. Takuya Tasso, Governor of Iwate Prefecture, and the Association for the Reconstruction of Coastal Cities, Towns, and Villages of Iwate Prefecture, which has been formed by 13 municipalities in the prefecture stricken by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
