Prime Minister Naoto Kan held the second meeting of the Council for Intensive Discussion on Social Security Reform at the Prime Minister's Office.

During the meeting, a public hearing was held on social security reform with the Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren), the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizai Doyukai), the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Japanese Trade Union Confederation (RENGO).
