Prime Minister Naoto Kan attended the first meeting of the Working Group of the Task Force Team for a Society Inclusive of Individuals, held at the Cabinet Office Main Building.

The Prime Minister said in his opening address, "The Task Force Team for a Society Inclusive of Individuals is the fifth team that I commissioned a special assignment.
What is particularly good about this task force team is that it is not hindered by the barriers of jurisdiction within the bureaucracy as has been the case in the past. Since the team is commissioned by the Prime Minister's Office and myself as a special task force, if there is such a barrier, I will create a system to clear it in my responsibility, once you tell either the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary or me.
For Japanese society today, realizing a society without such things as isolation, poverty, and suicides is an extremely big challenge. I therefore earnestly ask you to do your best in tackling the problem with courage and pride."
