On January 29 (local time), Prime Minister Naoto Kan visited Davos in the
Swiss Confederation to attend the 2011 Annual Meeting of the World Economic
Forum (Davos Meeting).
After exchanging views at a meeting with experts, the Prime Minister attended
the Davos Meeting, where he delivered a special message entitled, "Opening
Japan and Reinventing KIZUNA."
After delivering his special message, the Prime Minister attended the Japan
Lunch hosted by Dr. Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum,
and then the Japan Session. Later, the Prime Minister met with Mr. George Soros.
