Japan-India Summit Meeting, Joint Signing Ceremony and Press Announcement, and Banquet
Prime Minister Naoto Kan held talks with Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India, at the Prime Minister's Office.
After the meeting, the two leaders signed the Japan-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and received a report from the Business Leaders' Forum (BLF), following which they held a joint press announcement.
Later, Prime Minister Kan held a banquet inviting Prime Minister Singh and Mrs. Gursharan Kaur, his wife, and others. Prime Minister Kan said in his address, "I am confident that the Japan-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement will further expand the trade and investment opportunities and exchanges between the two countries. Together with Prime Minister Singh, I promise to continue doing my best to strengthen our bilateral relations."
