"Innovation 25" is one of the promises made in the policy speech of the
Abe administration (※). It is a long-term strategy initiative for the
creation of innovation contributing to the growth with an eye on the
year 2025.
In order for the government to intensively promote the decision of
"Innovation 25", a minister in charge of innovation was established and
Sanae Takaichi, the Minister of State was appointed as in charge, and
the "Innovation 25 Special Mission" was set up within the Cabinet
Office.
