- Oi Nuclear Power Station's full-capacity operation and revisions on the power saving targets
CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY FUJIMURA: In the early morning today, at 1am, the Unit 4 reactor of Oi Nuclear Power Station reached constant operation at rated thermal output - the so-called full-capacity operation. As such, from 5:20pm today at the Prime Minister's Office, a joint meeting of the Electricity Supply-Demand Review Meeting and the Energy and Environment Council will be held, which will be attended by Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda. The meeting will decide on a revised policy on the power saving targets, according to the restarting of Oi Nuclear Power Station's Unit 4 reactor. Despite the continued inconvenience caused to the people, we ask for your understanding and cooperation toward saving power.
