Council for Promoting Consumer Policy

At the meeting, the Council discussed the ways to promote consumer policy. Points of the discussion included the modality of an administrative organization for ensuring food safety, or the integration of administrative functions governing food safety by making an Agency for Consumer Affairs a key player in food safety policy. The Council also deliberated on assistance to improve regional consumer policies such as expansion of the services provided by consumer centers, creating integrated points of contact for the consumers to enquire about any problem they may have.
