Prime Minister Taro Aso met with Mr. Yukio Hatoyama, President of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), at the Diet building.

The meeting was held upon President Hatoyama's request, and was also attended by Mr. Takeo Kawamura, Chief Cabinet Secretary, and Mr. Hirofumi Hirano, Director-General of the Executive Office of the DPJ.
