IT Strategic Headquarters

Prime Minister Taro Aso held the 51st meeting of the IT Strategic Headquarters (Strategic Headquarters to Promote an Advanced Information and Telecommunications Network Society) at the Prime Minister's Office.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister received a report entitled, "i-Japan Strategy 2015," from Mr. Nobuya Minami, Chair of the Expert Committee on the Future IT Strategy.

In response, Prime Minister Aso said, "I thank Chair of the Expert Committee Minami and all the other people concerned for their work in compiling a powerful strategy, i-Japan Strategy 2015, in no more than six months. Since the strategy covers various administrative areas, I ask ministers concerned to act in an unwavering and speedy manner."

Afterwards, the members of the Headquarters saw demonstrations on e-chalkboards and digital textbooks.
