The Prime Minister Attends the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives

Prime Minister Taro Aso attended the plenary session of the House of Representatives. During the session, the House voted for the three bills of the fiscal 2009 budget for the general account, special accounts, and government-affiliated agencies. These bills were passed in the House of Representatives with a majority in favor.

The House also voted for two more bills: the Bill on Special Provisions concerning Issuance of Public Bonds and Transfer of Funds from the Special Account for Fiscal Investment and Loan Program to Secure Necessary Financial Resources for Fiscal Management and the Bill for Partial Amendment of the Income Tax Act, etc. Both bills were passed with a majority in favor.

All the bills will be forwarded to the House of Councillors for deliberations.
