Prime Minister Taro Aso received a courtesy call from Ms. Kumiko Hashimoto, Chair of the Support Dog Association, and others at the Prime Minister's Office, and received an explanation about the Association's comprehensive service dog training center named Cynthia's Hill currently under construction in Kumabari, Nagakute Town, Aichi Prefecture. The center is scheduled to open in the spring of 2009, as Japan's first specialized training center for developing both service dogs and trainers.

Prime Minister Aso asked service dog users who were visiting together with the dogs about the training period for service dogs, as well as the length of time it takes for them to grow accustomed to users, among other topics.
