Prime Minister and Mrs. Aso Host a Lunch

Prime Minister Taro Aso and Mrs. Chikako Aso invited His Majesty Juan Carlos I, The King of the Kingdom of Spain, and Her Majesty the Queen Sofia to the Prime Minister's Office, and held a lunch for Their Majesties.

In his address, Prime Minister Aso said, "I had the honor of having an audience with Your Majesty The King when I visited Spain in June last year as the Minister for Foreign Affairs. On that occasion, I, on behalf of the Government of Japan, extended an invitation to Your Majesties the King and Queen to visit Japan. It is my great pleasure to welcome Your Majesties today here in Japan."
