The Prime Minister Receives the FY2007 Audit Report

Prime Minister Taro Aso received the FY2007 Audit Report from Mr. Kazuhiko Fushiya, President of the Board of Audit, at the Prime Minister's Office.

The report pointed out 981 cases of fiscal irregularities, totaling approximately 125.3 billion yen, including matters concerning fraudulent accounting; competitiveness and transparency of contract; fairness in the collection of insurance premiums and other social security benefits; and the safety and integrity of building structures and disaster prevention and response measures to ensure people's sense of reassurance.
