Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from singer Ms. Aya Matsuura, who is the poster model for the Campaign against Drug Abuse, at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.

Prime Minister Abe handed Ms. Matsuura a message for the participants in the Street Corner Campaign of the "No, Absolutely No!" publicity campaign for preventing drug abuse, which will be held nationwide from June 20 to July 19.

Ahead of the upcoming street campaign to promote the prevention of drug abuse, the Prime Minister said to Ms. Matsuura, "The message will reach young people more effectively if a young person like you promotes the campaign, rather than us. Please go on with 'No, Absolutely No!'" In response, Ms. Matsuura told him, "I will do my best to spread the message."

Ms. Matsuura then presented Prime Minister Abe with informational goods to be used for the Campaign against Drug Abuse, including a framed copy of the poster and a T-shirt.
