First Day of Cool Biz
Friday, June 1, 2007
Cool Biz campaign began on June 1. Cool Biz is a casual dress code that does not require ties or jackets to reduce the need for air-conditioning during the summer.
The campaign, which also contributes to global warming countermeasures, will be practiced until September 30. All the Cabinet members including Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the Cabinet meeting wearing laid-back Okinawan kariyushi shirts.
