Prime Minister Receives a Report from the Decentralization Reform Committee Thursday, May 31, 2007 JAPANESE Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a report from the Decentralization Reform Committee, entitled Basic Approach for Promoting Decentralization Reform: Nation Building Initiated by the Local Governments, which was compiled on May 30. The report was handed over by the committee chair, Mr. Uichiro Niwa, who then presented a briefing to the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Abe said, "I understand that further details of the report will be explained at the meeting of the Headquarters for Promoting Decentralization Reform to be held on June 11. Thank you for all your efforts."
