Japan-Monaco Summit Meeting

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a meeting with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of
the Principality of Monaco at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.
The meeting was held for the first time since Japan and Monaco established their diplomatic relationship in December 2006.
At the beginning, Prime Minister said, "We established a diplomatic relationship last year. Our relationship is further deepening now that Your Serene Highness is visiting Japan."
The Prime Minister further said "I hear that after this meeting, you will visit an exhibition at a department store that portrays the life of your mother, Her Serene Highness Princess Grace. She is still extremely popular in Japan."
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed their efforts to attract tourists from abroad and ways to tackle environmental issues such as climate change.
