8th Meeting of the Innovation 25 Strategy Council

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended the 8th meeting of the Innovation 25 Strategy Council at the Prime Minister's Official Residence together with officials including Ms. Sanae Takaichi, the Minister of State for Innovation.
The meeting encompassed the presentation of the Innovation 25 interim report: Create our Future, Challenges for Unlimited Possibilities.
In his address, Prime Minister Abe said, "I would like to promote a steady nation building that will allow a constant manifestation of innovation and the expansion of dreams and possibilities. This will only be made possible by the strong implementation of policies by the government." He further said, "From here on, we will further unify our endeavors by enhancing coordination with the Council for Science and Technology Policy, the Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy and other entities, with the aim of compiling a final report around the end of May. Based on that report, we will compile the long-term strategic guidelines 'Innovation 25' to be reflected in the Basic Policy for the next fiscal year."
