To this end, intellectuals from both sides study the relations from a broad perspective including politics, economy, culture, and science and technology, and thereupon make proposals and issue reports to the Governments of both countries. The Japanese members are to visit China from October 18 to take part in the 5th meeting of the committee. Prime Minister Abe expressed his expectations for the committee's activities.
