(On the attendance at the G7 Summit in Cornwall)
 
At this G7 Summit, I would like to engage in candid discussions with the leaders of G7 countries, which Japan shares universal values, regarding important challenges, such as responses to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), climate change, economy, and the regional situation. I will take this opportunity to explain Japan’s position and contribute to the discussions during the summit.
 
As for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, I will seek understanding by explaining that we will thoroughly implement preventive measures against infection and bring about the Games that are safe and secure.
