On January 9, 2020, the Prime Minister held a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Regarding the situation in the Middle East, the Prime Minister said,
“Japan has strongly urged all parties to behave with self-restraint. It is Japan’s position that we value such responses.
Going forward, Japan will exert all diplomatic efforts to ease tensions and stabilize the situation in the region.”
