On October 20, 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Nagano Prefecture to inspect the state of the damage caused by Typhoon No. 19* of 2019.
The Prime Minister visited sites affected by the disaster in the Hoyasu District, Nagano City , and then visited Hokubu Sports Recreation Park , which has been turned into an evacuation center. After that, Prime Minister Abe held an exchange of views with Mr. Shuichi Abe, Governor of Nagano Prefecture , at the Nagano Prefectural Office.
