On September 12, 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office.
In regard to the Cabinet reshuffle, the Prime Minister said,
“There is no more time to lose for the restoration from the typhoon disaster. I heard that Minister of State for Disaster Management Takeda straightaway visited the sites affected by the disaster.
Furthermore, I was told that Minister Koizumi is to visit Fukushima in his capacity as Minister of State for Nuclear Emergency Preparedness. I hope that they will exert every effort on the spot and on the ground in their respective roles.”
