On August 16, 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press conference at the Prime Minister’s Office.
With regard to the launch of projectiles by North Korea, the Prime Minister said,
“It has been confirmed that the launch does not affect the security of Japan. While remaining fully vigilant, we will continue to collaborate closely with the United States and other countries and undertake maximum efforts to protect the safety of the public.”
