On June 26, 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hosted a summit meeting and other events with H.E. Mr. Emmanuel Macron,President of the French Republic, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The two leaders attended a salute and guard of honor ceremony, followed by a meeting. Afterwards, the leaders issued the “Roadmap on Japan-France Cooperation for Opening New Horizons between Japan and France Under an Exceptional Partnership (2019–2023).” The leaders then held an exchange of documents ceremony, followed by a joint press conference.
In the evening, the Prime Minister hosted a dinner in Tokyo inviting President Macron and Mrs. Macron.
