On November 4, 2018, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the FY2018 Fall Special Exhibition commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration, “The Dynamic Period of Meiji: The Dawn of Modern Japan,” held at the National Archives of Japan.
With regard to his impressions from the visit, the Prime Minister said,
“This year marks the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restoration. These public records and archives convey the way the people at that time made significant strides towards modernization in detail and in a lively manner.”
