On July 17, 2018, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held the 25th Japan-European Union (EU) summit meeting and other activities with H.E. Mr. Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, and H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, from the European Union, at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The three leaders attended a salute and guard of honor ceremony, followed by a commemorative photograph session and a summit meeting. Thereafter, they held a signing ceremony for the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the Japan EU Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA), and a joint press conference.
