Press Occasion on the Visit to Japan by President Trump of the United States

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press occasion at the Prime Minister's Office on November 5, 2017.
In regard to the visit to Japan by the Honorable Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, the Prime Minister said,
“I would like to express my heartfelt welcome on President Trump’s historic visit to Japan. I hope to further cement the bonds of the Japan-U.S. Alliance through my friendship with President Trump and our relationship of trust. In addition, I would like to take time for an in-depth discussion of various international issues, including the situation in North Korea.”
