Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s Comment on the Launch of Missile by North Korea
August 3, 2016
[Provisional Translation]
The missile is believed to have fallen in Japan’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and as such is an unforgivable act of aggression that represents a grave threat to the security of Japan. The missile launch is a clear violation of relevant United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, and the Government has issued a strong protest to North Korea. Japan will take resolute measures in coordination with the United States and the Republic of Korea.
