Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press occasion at the Prime Minister's Office.

In regard to North Korea's missile launch, the Prime Minister said,

“We have received initial reports that North Korea has again launched a ballistic missile. There is a possibility that the ballistic missile has landed in Japan’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ). We will immediately analyze the situation, and prioritize taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people. We plan to hold a meeting of the National Security Council (NSC).”
