[Provisional Translation]

I just held a telephone talk with President Trump of the United States of America for about 35 minutes. I believe it was a very in-depth exchange of opinions.

President Trump and I shared the recognition that North Korea's ballistic missile launch yesterday was an act of dangerous provocation, and a grave threat to the security of Japan. As the U.S.-China summit meeting will be held starting tomorrow, I stated that Japan is paying close attention to how China is going to respond to the North Korea issue.

Moreover, President Trump made a strong and powerful statement that all options are on the table. We will further strengthen our response to the North Korea issue while continuing to cooperate with the United States and the international community.
