Prime Minister’s Visit to the United States: Third Day

On September 21 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting New York in the United States, participated in a dialogue with members of the financial sector and then attended a high-level meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Syria. Prime Minister Abe also met with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey , and then received a courtesy call from the Hon. Joseph R. Biden Jr., Vice President of the United States of America .
In the afternoon, Prime Minister Abe delivered an address at the General Debate in the U.N. General Assembly. Afterwards, he met with H.E. Dr. Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran . In the evening, the Prime Minister attended Taste of Japan in New York, a reception showcasing washoku (Japanese cuisine).
