On September 6 (local time), Prime Minister Abe visited Vientiane in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to attend Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-related summit meetings.
The Prime Minister held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines. Afterwards, he attended the welcome ceremony with H.E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the two leaders then held a meeting and a joint press statement.
