Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture for the holding of summit meetings and other events with G7 Ise-Shima Summit Outreach Meeting participants.
Prime Minister Abe held talks individually with H. E. Mr. Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad; H. E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh; H. E. Mr. Maithripala Sirisena, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka; the Hon. Peter O’Neill, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea; and H. E. Dr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic .
Afterwards, Prime Minister Abe hosted a summit meeting and other events with H. E. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam , at the Prime Minister's Office.
First, the two leaders received a salute and attended a ceremony by the guard of honor, and then held a summit meeting. Following this, the leaders held an exchange of documents, and then a joint press announcement.
