Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who is visiting Shima City in Mie Prefecture, attended the G7 Ise-Shima Summit.
First, Prime Minister Abe welcomed the G7 leaders at Ise Jingu, and then the leaders viewed Ise Jingu together.
Next, the leaders attended a working lunch. After the lunch, the leaders participated in a side event on autonomous and fuel cell vehicle demonstrations, and then a commemorative photograph session.
Following Session 2 and Session 3, the Joint Statement on the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)/ Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was released at a side event.
Later, the Prime Minister held a press briefing, hosted a cocktail party and side event on exhibitions about anti-terrorism and the conservation of cultural properties.
The G7 leaders then attended a working dinner.
