Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented the Prime Minister's certificate of appreciation at the Prime Minister's Office to commend those who placed themselves in danger to save another person's life.
The Prime Minister said in his address,
“I would like to sincerely thank you all for coming to the Prime Minister's Office, despite your busy schedules.
Every year, unforeseen accidents cause many deaths.
The Government is undertaking various initiatives with the mindset of cherishing each individual life, in order to reduce the number of people who perish in unexpected accidents as much as possible.
Given these efforts, I want to commend the extreme bravery of all of you and thank you for saving precious lives regardless of the danger, during situations in which you yourself could have died.
I would like to conclude my address and expression of gratitude by conveying my heartfelt hope that you continue your activities further in each of your respective regions and positions. Thank you very much.”
