After offering flowers, the Prime Minister said in his address,
“Twenty years have passed since the sarin gas attack on Tokyo's subway system. However, this incident is not yet truly over. Many continue to suffer the after-effects of the sarin gas. Twenty years after the attack, I want to again express my condolences for all who perished.
In addition, I would like to again express my sympathies to bereaved family members and those who are suffering from the after-effects of the gas. I want to take all possible measures to ensure that this kind of incident never happens again.”
