On January 16 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the Arab Republic of Egypt.
After being welcomed by H. E. Mr. Ibrahim Mahlab, Prime Minister of Egypt, Prime Minister Abe visited the Grand Egyptian Museum construction site, then held a meeting with Prime Minister Mahlab.
The following day, January 17 (local time) Prime Minister Abe gave a policy speech at the Joint Meeting of the Japan-Egypt Business Committee, then held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Abdel-Fattah, President of Egypt, and an economic mission. Lastly, he held a joint press announcement.
