Lunar New Year Message from Prime Minister TAKAICHI Sanae

I send my heartfelt greetings to everyone celebrating the Lunar New Year.

In the current international climate, Japan aspires to play an even greater role in fostering peace and prosperity in the international community. In that context, I deeply hope that the new year brings peace to the world and restores serenity to as many lives as possible.

As we embark upon this Year of the Horse, we recall the alert and agile nature of this mighty animal. In particular, this year, the Year of the Fire Horse, is said to be one full of dynamism and a time for transitioning ideas into concrete results.

I extend my best wishes for this year to be one of tremendous optimism for each of you. May it deliver great happiness and prosperity to all.
